Sharrow Engineering’s The Propeller is being hailed as the first major advancement in propeller technology since the 1930s. Its design was developed by modeling on modern computers which enabled advanced solutions to some of the basic limitations of rotary propulsors.
We are hearing a lot about them and we are looking forward to hearing industry feedback on their effectiveness. From DLBA’s perspective the new propeller blade shape certainly has the potential to provide a substantive improvement in efficiency through reduced tip losses and less frictional drag. Please let us know if you have a first-hand experience with them that you would like to share!
