DLBA is proud to have supported the design of W.F. Magann’s (WFM) Capt Bud crane barge – a project which included four spud wells and specially-designed, recessed attachment points for Flexifloats to provide increased lifting capacity when needed. Most recently, DLBA and WFM collaborated to outfit the barge with a Manitowoc 4100W Ringer Crane with 220ft boom, and eight Flexifloats. Using DLBA’s proprietary crane barge analysis routine, DLBA and WFA produced the US Army Corps of Engineers EM 385-1-1-required Naval Architecture Analysis, and designed and engineered the ringer support frame using finite element analysis. The DLBA team is excited to see this 180 x 60 x 10 foot barge out on the water working on a variety of projects and supporting our US Navy.
