Annually, WorkBoat Magazine announces its shortlist of 10 nominees for Significant Boat of the Year. From that list, the Boat of the Year is chosen and announced at the International WorkBoat Show in December, and for the first time, DLBA has two boats included on the list.

With an owner this discerning, DLBA Naval Architects had our challenges laid out for us to build a Gameboat as close to perfection as we could get. DLBA collaborated with the Bayliss team on the design and styling of this Bayliss 62 Gameboat and rumor has it that John Bayliss was overheard saying after the initial sea trials “this boat is an absolute stud”.
Her lines might be all classic but the technology integrated in the Carbon Marine’s 240 make the platform extra contemporary. We’ve been happy to support this young Canadian builder which develops bespoke products for customers with a need for speed.
Our team is working on a Weaver 38, which is on the drawing board for delivery in 2020 and is a project we’re particularly proud of; it’s our 19th project with Weaver Boatworks in a relationship that goes back to 2002.

harrow Engineering’s The Propeller is being hailed as the first major advancement in propeller technology since the 1930s. Its design was developed by modeling on modern computers which enabled advanced solutions to some of the basic limitations of rotary propulsors.
For close to 30 years, DLBA has been proud to work alongside Australia’s Norman Wright & Sons to produce high quality vessels that perfectly match their owners’ requirements. In April this year the latest in this line launched; the 60ft Aura.
DLBA is putting its R&D and tech skills to work modernizing the towing carriage system for Virginia Tech. This is the towing system that sits on top of the University’s model test basin and the aim is to enhance the research team’s capability to perform model test experiments for high speed surface and subsurface crafts by greatly increasing the test speed.
