DLBA in the 2020 Marine News Top 100

Founded in 1988 as a naval architecture and marine engineering firm, DLBA specializes in the technical development of high-performance marine craft. Founder, Donald L. Blount, has left a legacy of high-performance designs introduced to the maritime world ahead of their time.
Marine News One Hundred recognized us for several projects. We recently unveiled 120′ SATV Service Accommodation and Transfer Vessel intended to be used for delivering service technicians to offshore wind farms. Other Marine News’ highlights included the installation support for the Manitowoc 4100W Ringer Crane on a barge W.E. Capt. Bud and a propulsion refit on a 55′ (17m) Haig Point passenger ferry.
DLBA offers consulting services for the design, evaluation, testing and construction management of motor yachts, custom sportfish and production boats as well as commercial, military and paramilitary vessels. DLBA has built a state-of-the-art design team and while we as individuals pride ourselves on staying ahead of the advancements in marine technologies, these developments require DLBA to collaborate with experts, and to regularly work as a member of a team rather than as a sole entity. In addition to our work with cutting-edge new technology, we remain focused on supporting many mainstream commercial designs.
