Our team had the opportunity to collaborate on the development of the Thoroughbred U-21. We first mentioned the project back in June of 2020, and it’s awesome to see the first one is on the water. The COVID-19 pandemic presented a struggle getting this girl out of the shop and on the water due to both supply chain and labor impacts for this new Michigan builder.

But it’s done!! She’s an awesome combination of classic styling with modern technology and materials. Her lines are simple and smooth which seems to disguise the fact that the right power plant is a 50-knot screamer. Rumor has it the equipment representatives supporting initial trials suggested it’s one the best running single engine inboard boats they’ve ever ridden. It’s just a rumor, but we’ll take it!
