PROJECT:
DESTRIERO

Heir to a long line of record-setting ships, Destriero earned the Virgin Atlantic Challenge Trophy for the fastest one-way Atlantic crossing in 1992 with an average speed of 53 knots. That same year she also won the Columbus Atlantic Trophy for the fastest round-trip Atlantic crossing. Her gas turbines carry her 222’ (67m) frame with 52,000 horsepower. When she was launched, she was the largest aluminum boat on the water with the biggest waterjets designed and manufactured at the time. DLBA is proud to have spearheaded her naval architecture.
