A Three-in-One Dive Boat Breaking the Mold

OCTOBER 21, 2020

The speed of a sport fisher, the comfort of a yacht, and all the enviable extras of a dive boat – DLBA’s new design is the stuff of diver dreams.

Construction will soon begin on a DLBA Naval Architects-designed dive boat with the luxury of a yacht and the sea-worthiness and styling of a sportfisherman.

With production slated to begin by Roscioli Donzi Yachts in November, DLBA and Roscioli have worked together to create a dive yacht based on an American sport fishing platform for a vessel that exhibits excellent sea-kindliness, agility, and impressive speed. Walk-around decks leading to the forward sunpad, teak accents, and the addition of a bulwark rail add to the streamlined profile, with yachting luxury in its DNA.

This 76’ dive boat is packed with features to create the ultimate dive platform, including a large Opacmare transformer platform to give divers access to the water, dive compressor, integrated dive bottle storage and Nitrox system for deepwater diving.

An extensive features list saw the DLBA team design solutions to integrate a gyro stabilizer, Seatorque propulsion system, transformer and the wide range of dive gear into the sport fish-ing-style hull. That 76’ Dive Yacht achieve in excess of 40 knots, powered by twin MTU die-sel 16V 2000 engines, with the fiberglass vessel alternately available with twin 12V engines.

Designed for exploring coastlines and reefs with short overnight excursions, propeller tunnels allow for operation in shallow waters.

This 76’ Dive Yacht follows a number of collaborations between DLBA, and Roscioli Donzi Yachts; the South Florida boat builder known for high-end sport fishing yachts.

Designed from DLBA’s Virginia base, this American-built yacht is destined for delivery to an offshore owner.
