Tune in to our webinar “Going with the Flow” where together we will explore modern appendages and ride control options that can unlock increased performance of your vessel. Carson Pearce
DLBA Naval Architects – Naval Architect
Growing up, Carson spent his summers working as a sailing instructor on the Potomac River and enjoying time with family and friends out on the Chesapeake Bay. Chasing a career in the industry that formed his childhood, Carson graduated from Virginia Tech (VT) with a BS in Ocean Engineering, with a minor in Naval Engineering. While at Virginia Tech, he involved himself heavily in the revival of VT’s autonomous Sailboat Team and the school’s SNAME/ASNE Chapter. Summers switched from sailboat instructing to shipyard interning with opportunities at Austal USA and General Dynamics NASSCO. Since joining the naval architecture team at DLBA, Carson has provided quality technical support for recreational, commercial, and government projects.
Nick Stinson
DLBA Naval Architects – Naval Architect
Nick Stinson found a love of the water through small boats and jet skis on an inland lake in Virginia. This passion led Nick to pursue a BS in Ocean (and Aerospace) Engineering at Virginia Tech followed by a MS in Ocean Engineering with a Naval focus. After having opportunities to work in a shipyard, the oil and gas industry, and with small, unmanned submarines, Nick finally got the opportunity to enter the recreational production boat world. Since then, Nick has helped to take numerous designs from concept to reality ranging from 15’ center consoles and bow riders to 150’ specialty craft. While at DLBA, Nick has honed-in his technical skills related to structure, stability, performance, and compliance for small vessels.
