WEBINAR INVITE
Hanging in the Balance:
Hoisting your Yacht with a Travelift

Tuesday June 15th, 2021 · 11:00 AM · EDT

Lifting a yacht with a travelift can be a stressful and difficult process. Using a travelift can cause unexpected damages and other difficulties. However, there are times when using a travelift is unavoidable and must be done for required maintenance. Due diligence in planning in advance of using the lift can vastly reduce the stress involved and minimize the risks taken when lifting a yacht.

During this webinar, Tyler Jenkins, a marine engineer with the DLBA team, will walk through some of the key precautions to take when planning to lift a yacht, including things like strap arrangement, weight distribution, and blocking once the yacht is out of the water. We invite you to join us for the webinar on Tuesday, June 15, 2021.

Tyler Jenkins
DLBA Naval Architects – Marine Engineer

Tyler Jenkins has been a part of the DLBA team since the summer of 2017 when he interned as an aspiring engineer. Upon graduating from The Georgia Institute of Technology in 2018, where he studied Mechanical Engineering and Industrial Design, Tyler joined the team fulltime as a Marine Engineer. Since joining full-time, Tyler’s role has developed into a marine systems designer and structural engineer, with a large portion of his efforts centered around Finite Element Analysis (FEA) in the design process. Some recent projects include detailed mechanical machine designs, drive system designs, and machinery foundations engineering utilizing FEA as the primary design tool.

Outside the office, Tyler spends most of his time at the CrossFit gym, but he also enjoys many outdoor activities including hiking, snowboarding, and cycling. Growing up, he frequently went on fishing and SCUBA diving trips with his family, developing the affinity for the marine world which eventually brought him to DLBA.
